M&S sets up shop at FiftySevenEast
Taylor Wimpey Central London has secured leading retailer Marks & Spencer (M&S) as its anchor tenant at its Dalston scheme FiftySevenEast. The new tenant will take the entire 11,765 sq. ft. vacancy for a new M&S Foodhall on Kingsland High Street set to open in 2018.
Located in one of the capital’s most eclectic districts, FiftySevenEast is a development of 83 apartments and tower suites rising 15 storeys. Centred in the heart of Dalston, renowned for its innovative tech start-ups and creative communities, the development commands an enviable location immediately adjacent to Dalston Kingsland station, with easy access to the City and Canary Wharf.
Taylor Wimpey Central London will handover the unit in Q1 2018. Property advisory firm Shaw Corporation acted as the letting agent for the store.
Ingrid Osborne, managing director, Taylor Wimpey Central London, said: “The arrival of M&S is testament to the popularity of Dalston’s location in the City Fringe. We are delighted to announce that M&S has decided to open at FiftySevenEast and are looking forward to providing both new and existing residents with the convenience of a quality brand in this location – set to complement the existing mix of high-street and independents in an area that is evolving at pace.”
